Former Los Angeles Valiant player Seb ‘Numlocked’ Barton now plays for the British Hurricane Contenders team, and posted a clip of some impressive Winston play after the Hurricane’s playoff run came to an end.

The British Hurricane are the Contenders Academy team for the London Spitfire and play in Contenders Europe.

The Hurricane were knocked out of the Contenders Europe playoff in the quarterfinals by Team Giganti, but there was a silver lining, because numlocked got to share this awesome clip of some great Winston play on Twitter.

On Hanamura, numlocked jumps with Winston up to the platform to the left of the point and then uses his Jump Pack again to bounce off of the walls and land to damage his opponents.

The jumps were perfect, and let numlocked easily finish off the Zenyatta, Mercy and Ashe on top of the platform in no time at all.

Perhaps even more impressive than the move itself is the fact that numlocked said he came up with it on the spot without any practice ahead of time.

The maneuver was just another example of the gap in skill between professional and casual Overwatch players and possibly what Game Director Jeff Kaplan was referring to when he recently called out players below the diamond rank.

Numlocked parted ways with the Valiant in September, 2018 and joined the Hurricane soon after, but this clip proves he’s still one of the best Winston players out there.

Although numlocked and the Hurricane are out of the playoffs, the finals for Contenders Europe will happen on January 11, and will be streamed live on the Contenders Twitch channel.
