Overwatch heroes without hats are surprisingly disturbing

A curious Overwatch player has discovered the horrors lurking underneath the game’s detailed and brightly-colored surfaces.

Overwatch is known and loved partly because of its unique art style and characters, which is one of the reasons it’s so popular with fans.

Reddit user Owlero decided to find out what lies underneath the surface of some of Overwatch’s skins, and the results might just haunt you in your sleep tonight.

What did Owlero find?

Owlero used the Overwatch replay viewer to look at what Symmetra, Reaper, Torbjorn, Moira and Zarya look like underneath their hats.

Symmtra’s Oasis skin has a mask that covers her eyes, and it also takes them away, leaving the hero with a blue face and black eyes that looks like it’s right out of a horror movie.

Reaper is in serious need of a trip to the barber, based on what his hair looks like underneath his Blackwatch skin’s beanie. Hopefully that’s just hat hair, otherwise Reyes is in some serious need of a touch up.

Turns out Torbjorn has a lazy eye underneath the eyepatch of his Blackbeard skin, but the wildest surprises have to come from Moira and Zarya.

Moira’s Blackwatch skin and Zarya’s Siberian Front have two things in common: both heroes have hats, and both are almost completely bald underneath as well.

Blizzard EntertainmentMoira, you can leave your hat on.

New Overwatch update coming soon?

Developers have confirmed that more hero balance changes, including some for Zarya and Symmetra, will arrive to the game soon.

They didn’t give an exact date for when the changes would arrive, but they did say they would be balancing more heroes going forward to bring them in line with the new 2-2-2 system.

Zarya and Symmetra will both be getting a change to their beam damage, according to developers.

As we said, we don’t have an exact timetable for when these changes will be happening, but they could be coming just before or after the Overwatch League Grand Finals on September 29.

Maybe the changes to Zarya and Symmetra will help us forget what they look like underneath some of their skins.
