The latest Overwatch Public Test Realm (PTR) update finally introduced a significant quality-of-life change for Brigitte.

Though the change wasn’t listed as part of the patch notes for the September 24 PTR update, players trying out the new patch noticed that Blizzard have added a new element to Brigitte’s UI.

On the PTR, players can now see exactly how many charges they have available of their Repair Pack with a clear indicator beneath the crosshair, making it easier to track the ability without having to look away from their target, however briefly.

Brigitte was significantly reworked alongside the introduction of role queue, which saw her Repair Pack adjusted to offer three charges, making it a more significant aspect of her healing capacity. As a result, it can be crucial that Brigitte players are aware of how many they have available at any given time.

While many players believe she’s too weak in her current state, those that do play her will undoubtedly be pleased with a change that can only make life easier.

Brigitte wasn’t the only hero who got an undocumented UI update, although hers was the most significant. Meanwhile, both Doomfist and Zarya received changes that mean the numbers showing Doomfist’s Seismic Slam damage and Zarya’s charge level are now the same colour as the player’s crosshair, instead of always being white.

This change wasn’t as universally popular as the Brigitte update, however, with some players preferring that the numbers be a separate color, which seems to no longer be an option on the PTR.

As the update is still in testing, it’s possible that these changes may be further adjusted before they reach the live servers. While the Brigitte UI addition seems likely to remain in its current state, the mixed response to the changes for Doomfist and Zarya could prompt Blizzard to consider further customization before making them live.
