Boston Uprising has completed a flawless stage of the Overwatch League.

The Uprising went undefeated throughout the entirety of Stage 3, the first team to pull off such a feat.

The Uprising got off to a hot start at the beginning of the stage, but shortly found themselves dealt a heavy blow after star DPS player ‘DreamKazper’ was removed from the team for inappropriate online behaviour with an underage fan.

Despite the loss, Boston has only looked stronger throughout the rest of the stage. They became the first team to beat all three all-Korean teams within a stage, and then set a new record for the longest undefeated streak in the league.

With their victory over LA Gladiators to end the regular season of the stage, the Uprising extended that streak to 14, as well as completing the stage without sustaining a single loss.

The Uprising has now locked in the top seed going into the stage playoffs. Unlike previous stages, the number one team doesn’t get a free pass to the finals, but does get to choose which of the other three playoff teams they wish to face in their semi-final match.

As well as Boston Uprising, New York Exceslior and LA Valiant are locked into the playoffs. The final match of the stage between Valiant and Philadelphia Fusion will decide the fourth playoff team – anything less than a clean sweep for Fusion assures the LA Gladiators of holding onto the spot they currently hold in fourth place.
