The Battle Royale Genre Has Reached the World of Board Games

The Battle Royale genre has reached the world of board games with the upcoming release of 'Last One Standing.' In recent months, the 'Battle Royale' genre has taken off exponentially across the gaming world with various titles gaining an immense amount of recognition. Games such as Fortnite: Battle Royale, PUBG, and H1Z1 have generated enormous fan bases for their takes on the genre, along with notoriety in the mainstream media. However, although Battle Royale is played on consoles such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, a new game titled 'Last One Standing' has been announced as a tabletop version of the popular genre. The board game will feature a total of eight players on a shrinking map, which contains various forms of loot and items to gather as it progresses on. Certain cards will dictate the loot a player obtains, with items such as weapons, actions, and other forms of in-game experiences typically found in a Battle Royale game.
