Splyce has revealed that they will officially be bringing on Tom 'Tommey' Trewren to their Call of Duty: WWII roster for the upcoming season.
Set to release on November 3rd, CoD: WWII has quickly become one of the most anticipated titles in franchise history, due to the return of 'boots on the ground' combat following three years of 'advanced movement' mechanics.
With the Infinite Warfare season coming to a close, numerous teams and players within the community have started to engage in 'rostermania,' with multiple high-level moves already taking place.
Instances such as Team EnVyUs dropping three players
, Brandon 'Sharp' Rodgers coming out of retirement with a team of veterans
, and a new European powerhouse squad being formed under Red Reserve
have already been confirmed, with various rumors still floating around.
However, the release of
Trei 'Zer0' Morris from Splyce led community members to speculate who would take up the spot on the top-tier roster.
Confirmation that Tommey would indeed be taking that fourth spot alongside Ben 'Bance' Bance, Jordan 'Jurd' Crowley, and Dylan 'MadCat' Daly was announced via the Splyce website
on September 19th.
"Call of Duty: WWII releases on November 3, 2017. It comes with a new season of professional play in the Call of Duty World League. Earlier this year, Splyce announced the first part of the roster changes with the departure of Trei “Zer0” Morris. Today, the roster is completed with the arrival of Tom “Tommey” Trewren.
An England native, Tommy began his professional Call of Duty career over 9 years ago. His trademark versatile aggression will be right at home with the rest of the Splyce squad."
As a true veteran of the scene with experience since Call of Duty: 4 in 2008, Tommey joins the squad after his entire roster was released from
Fnatic following a disappointing finish at CWL Champs 2017.
