Grime Artist Threatens Fnatic CoD Player Over Name

Matthew 'Skrapz' Marshall of Fnatic received an aggressive message from a grime artist of the same name.

As a professional Call of Duty player, Marshall needed to find an alias to be known by within the community. Throughout all of esports, players pick 'nicknames' to use, which can range from a variety of different options. After listening to a UK grime artist that also goes by the name 'Skrapz'  when he was playing CoD Ghosts, Marshall decided that he would use the same name as the artist for his future gaming career. On August 4th, Marshall woke up to a direct message on Twitter from the performer, who showed disapproval towards the choice of alias. The DM can be viewed from Mashall below. x There has been no word if any other DM's have been sent, but Marshall aired out his thoughts on Twitter moments later. x x x Marshall and the Fnatic CoD team will be gearing up to compete in the $1.5 million Call of Duty World League Championship between August 9th and August 13th in Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center, home of the Orlando Magic professional basketball team. x
