San Francisco Shock To Add Three New Players to Overwatch League Roster

The San Francisco Shock have reportedly signed three new players to their Overwatch League squad. According to journalist Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, the Shock have added X6 Gaming DPS Park ‘Architect’ Min-jo and Flex Choi ‘ChoiHyoBin’ Hyo-Bin, as well as Toronto Esports Support Grant ‘Moth’ Espe.

Architect has been among the most highly-touted players outside the Overwatch League, with many analysts and commentators expecting him to be picked up by a team after his 18th birthday, which was on February 26th. On March 12th, he confirmed that he had in fact signed with an OWL team. Slasher revealed shortly after that the team was to be San Francisco Shock, and that Architect’s X6 team-mate ChoiHyoBin would be joining alongside him. He further reported the addition of Moth, who currently plays in Overwatch Contenders NA for Toronto Esports, the academy team of Boston Uprising. The moves suggest a potential overhaul to the roster in the near future. While the new additions may not all be starters, these three players in addition to Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Won and Matthew ‘super’ DeLisi, who come of age on March 18th and 28th respectively, the Shock will have access to nearly a whole squad’s worth of new players by the time Stage 3 begins. That could well be beneficial to San Francisco, who currently sit in ninth place in the overall standings. The team have had a couple of stand-out performances but have largely been lackluster. An influx of new talent will undoubtedly give them a lot more scope for improvement going forward. If all three new additions go through, the San Francisco Shock will have a full twelve-man roster.
