Relive the epic Hardpoint ending which eliminated OpTic Gaming from CWL New Orleans on Championship Sunday against Red Reserve.
Following a tough loss to Echo Fox on Saturday evening at CWL New Orleans, OpTic Gaming went into Championship Sunday against Red Reserve for a chance to keep their hopes alive at the major LAN event.
However, even being regarded as one of the best rosters in competitive Call of Duty history, OpTic fell in the first Hardpoint match 250-224, which would end up setting the tone for the series.
While the Green Wall was able to rally back with a win on Search and Destroy, Red Reserve took the ensuring Capture the Flag, and looked to put the nail in the coffin during a Sainte Marie Du Mont Hardpoint.
Although OpTic would come out hot and maintain general control of the map throughout, Red Reserve never fell far behind, and always remained in contention.
Yet, even while going up 249-232, OpTic Gaming somehow ended up falling to Red Reserve on one of the most insane endings of the CoD: WWII season thus far.
OpTic Gaming was ultimately eliminated from CWL New Orleans with a top-12 placing, which is the worst finish the team has experienced since when Will 'BigTymeR' Johnson was on the roster.
