Pro Players Banned on Infinite Warfare for Key Glitch

A number of high level pro Call of Duty players have received temporary bans for exploiting a glitch on Infinite Warfare.

Developer Infinity Ward have been handing out forty-eight hour bans to those who exploited the Kypto Key Glitch, and a number of prominent professional players are amongst those banned.

During the “12 Days of Winter” event on the game, players were gifted 20 keys on day 2 of the event that opened an infinite amount of cases.

Two time world champion Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan of Team EnVyUs was amongst those banned and was happy to share his disgust at the situation.

As per Infinity Ward’s guideline on bans, it is stated that the first offence will result in being “temporarily suspended from playing the game online, will have their stats, emblems, and paintjobs reset, will have online split-screen privileges revoked, and will have their leaderboard entries deleted.”

With the current pro points ladder in full swing, the ban has the potential to affect the outcome of the pool play teams at MLG Atlanta. A number of other players banned include FaZe Clan’s Tommy ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto, and Echo Fox captain Jeremy ‘Neslo ‘Olsen.
