Philadelphia Fusion Reveal Fusion University Contenders Roster

The Philadelphia Fusion have announced the line-up for their academy team, Fusion University. Like several other Overwatch League teams, the Philadelphia Fusion are set to field an academy team in the upcoming season of Contenders North America, the tier of competition below the Overwatch League.

The next season of Contenders NA is set to kick off on March 5th, and the Philadelphia team – named Fusion University – are now the first of those invited to have revealed their roster for the tournament. The biggest name on the squad is undoubtedly Lee ‘WhoRU’ Seung-jun, former Lunatic-Hai DPS player. WhoRU took part in the Lunatic-Hai victories at APEX Seasons 2 and 3, as well as the Seoul Cup, but was the only member of the squad not signed to Seoul Dynasty due to being too young to compete in Season One of the Overwatch League. WhoRU continued to compete for Lunatic-Hai when the roster was rebuilt following the departure of the original line-up, but became a free agent after Lunatic-Hai announced their departure from Overwatch. Along with WhoRU, Fusion University have also acquired Support player Bo ‘Alarm’ Kyung-ho, who also competed for the second version of Lunatic-Hai. Aside from the Korean duo, the rest of the Fusion University line-up is comprised US players, each having been drawn from separate tier-two NA squads. Of the Overwatch League teams fielding academy squads in the next season of Contenders NA, Boston Uprising, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, LA Gladiators, New York Excelsior, and San Francisco Shock have yet to announce their rosters.
