OpTic’s Scump Went Off Against Epsilon to Save a Flag Capture During CWL New Orleans Pool Play

Seth ‘Scump’ Abner of OpTic Gaming went off against Epsilon during their first Pool Play match at the CWL New Orleans Open.

As the second major LAN event of the Call of Duty: WWII competitive season, the CWL New Orleans Open between January 12th and January 14th is the largest MLG event in the history of the esport with over 250 teams battling it out for a $200,000 prize pool.

The tournament will also play a major role in allowing teams to qualify for the upcoming CWL Pro Leauge in late January, which will include a total of 16 squads per Stage competing in a LAN environment at the MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

After coming into CWL Dallas as the heavy favorite, OpTic Gaming ultimately came up short in their championship run with a 3rd place finish behind Splyce and Team Kaliber which came as a major surprise to many within the community.

When matching up against the European Epsilon squad in their first Pool Play match of CWL New Orleans on Flak Tower Capture the Flag, Scump managed to save a flag capture by absolutely dominating the competition, and going on a huge killstreak.

OpTic managed to win the series 3-0 over Epsilon and will look to keep the momentum going in their next match against a Team Vitality squad that managed to take down Team Envy to kick off their tournament run.
