OpTic Gaming Finally Toppled at Gears Mexico City Event

OpTic-Pro-Circuit-EnVy-Gears-4-Mexico-City-Esports

The OpTic Gaming Gear of War crown has finally been removed, putting an end to their event winning streak. The $100,000 tournament in Mexico City was organised by Gfinity and featured a passionate crowd in support of the home town heroes, Splyce. Victories for OpTic Gaming in Columbus and London put the team as the heavy favourites, but their old enemy Team EnVyUs clinched the top spot, beating them in the winner bracket and the grand final. The win for the Boys in Blue raises the stakes between the two teams in the competitive circuit and with four huge events still to take place, the rivalry appears to only just be getting started. The next Gears event is set to take place in February, however no further information has been released regarding the location or tournament organiser. The next confirmed tournament at the time of writing will be a $100,000 event hosted by MLG, back in Columbus, Ohio.
