OpTic and Enigma6 Start Strong With Consecutive Sweeps

OpTic Gaming and Enigma6 have had impressive starts to the CWL Dallas Open so far, each yet to lose a map.

OpTic Gaming kicked off their tournament off stream, facing Australia’s Tainted Minds in their first match of the group stage. After a comfortable 3-0 victory, they moved on to face Red Reserve, who themselves were coming off a 2-3 loss to EnVyUs.

Immediately, Matthew ‘Formal’ Piper looked dominant, dropping 42 kills in the Hardpoint in spite of an impressive resistance from Red. Search and Destroy was a more one-sided affair, with OpTic taking an easy 6-2 victory. OpTic continued to look comfortable in the Uplink, closing it out for the 3-0.

While a strong showing for OpTic might have been expected, they’re not the only team boasting a flawless start. Enigma6 have looked fantastic so far, first taking down Pnda Gaming 3-0 before moving onto CWL Vegas champions Rise Nation.

Once again, Enigma6 were totally in control, closing out the series without dropping a map. Having lost their own opener to Splyce, Rise Nation, who placed third at the CWL Paris, are now in serious danger of starting their play-off run from the lower bracket.
