Ninja Raises Incredible Amount During Suicide Prevention Charity Stream

In an effort to raise awareness for suicide prevention, Ninja orchestrated a magnificent charity stream on February 6th, 2018. His recent loss of a friend to suicide was what inspired him to promote this wonderful cause. Working with Tiltify, a platform that specializes in fundraising through streaming, he honored that friend and many others affected by suicide. As he usually does every time he goes live, Ninja received enormous support from his viewers. Using his channel for a charity stream meant that all of the proceeds from subscriptions and donations would be going to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The initial goal of the stream was to raise $25,000, a target which was blown by after a few hours. The popular streamer was even having difficulty keeping up a with all of the alerts. After just five hours, the stream had raised over $52,000. After 8 hours, the total had exceeded $100,000. Pausing every few minutes to tearfully thank his stream, Ninja constantly reminded everyone how serious the issue was and how any contribution would go a long way towards the #StopSuicide campaign. The stream caught the attention of many in the community, who made sure that their audiences were also made aware: x x x Occasions such as this always do a remarkable job bringing the online gaming community together. Ninja's decision to use his popular platform to promote a significant cause is very commendable. But, as he describes in the video below, the channel and its popularity would be meaningless if it was never applied to bringing awareness to serious issues. Full of raw emotion, the streamer thanked his viewers for their wonderful support.
" I love you guys. We're gonna celebrate because this is one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my entire life. Yeah I have the viewers and shit, but you don't understand, like I can have a 100,000 viewers and if no one cared, and no one would donate for causes like this. You guys are amazing, you guys are amazing! Thank you so much! Thank you."
x Ninja ended the stream with just over $113,000 raised. The charity will be open for another two days, with a new goal of $125,000. All those who wish to donate can do so here. x
