Former professional Gears of War player NICKMERCS has made a name for himself on Fortnite as one of the best streamers on console.
The American personality, part of Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s 100 Thieves organization, lives and works out of California and can be found streaming around the clock to his loyal audience, the MFAM.
NICKMERCS could previously be found streaming games such as Call of Duty, but when Fortnite began to take off in late 2017/early 2018, he found his niche by becoming one of the rare streamers to play on PlayStation 4.
Fortnite Battle Royale is typically played on PC by people broadcasting on Twitch or YouTube, but the decision to take a slightly different approach appears to have paid dividends.
NICKMERCS has admitted in the past that PC players are going to have an advantage due to the mouse and keyboard, but even then he can’t blame his console controls on what happened in the clip below.
While playing a squad game with three other people, Nick was one of two guys on his team left alive when his ramp building skills let him down and he fell to his death.
Rather than own up to the mistake, the popular streamer decided he’d lie to his teammate and claim that his console had lagged out. He then reset his game and cheekily asked his teammates to look at his stream for proof as the game reloaded.
