The Philadelphia Fusion were making their very first competitive appearance on day two of the Overwatch League. Not having been built around an existing team – with a few ex-FaZe players forming the largest group from a single squad – the roster already lacked any history on which to base evaluations. Unlike the other brand-new rosters, however, Philadelphia Fusion didn’t make their debut in the pre-season, having been unable to field a team due to player visa issues. As a result, Fusion were an entirely unknown quantity heading into a game against an Outlaws team that impressed in the pre-season despite losses to Dallas Fuel and Seoul Dynasty.
The #Flyers wanted to pass along a little good luck message to our eSports friends before they left for the bye week...Best of luck to the @PHL_Fusion in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League.
