Popular YouTuber MrBeast donated $30,000 to Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins during a Twitch stream to raise money for Suicide Prevention.
As one of the most popular personalities on the entire Twitch platform, Ninja has established a massive base of loyal fans and supporters over the course of his career as a streamer.
Although originally entering the gaming world as a professional Halo player, he ended up retiring to pursue content creation on Twitch and YouTube, along with transitioning to the rapidly expanding 'Battle Royale' genre of games.
Following the loss of a close friend, Ninja decided to host a special live stream on Friday, February 16th in order to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
with the initial goal set for $ 25,000.
However, the community came together to help support such a fantastic cause in great numbers by raising over $110,000 throughout the campaign, with various high-profile members of the scene bringing attention to the stream.
MrBeast, a popular YouTuber
with over 3 million subscribers at the time of writing, was able to donate $30,000 over multiple instalments by using money from a sponsor to assist Ninja in reaching his goal, and created a full-length video to document the entire experience.
