MarkyB of Millenium Speaks Out About Team's Tough Start in Call of Duty: WWII

After 2 weekends of intense CWL 2K tournaments, competition in the EU region for pool play spots at CWL Dallas is heating up, with top teams struggling to make the cut. One such team is the new look Millenium roster, featuring returning player Tomas 'GunShy' Jones, and the addition of David 'Urban' Marsh joining the team with Adam 'Peatie' Peate and Mark 'MarkyB' Bryceland for the CoD: WWII season. With his team currently languishing in 15th position on the EU Pro Points ladder, 'MarkyB' and the rest of the Millenium roster will need to turn things around quickly, if they are to qualify for pool play at Dallas in December. With only the November 26th 2K tournament to go before teams will locked in for pool play, Millenium need to climb up 10 places, to be in the top 5 of EU teams who will grab a spot. Those missing out will have the daunting task of playing through the open bracket. To do so, Millenium will in all likelihood need to win the upcoming 2K, and rely on other teams around them to slip up. We reached out to MarkyB and asked if things were really as bad as they seemed.
"No, we're a top tier team in Europe. Our first 2K loss which then gave us a difficult bracket for the 2nd was lost due to laggy connections and some very minor mistakes. We've got what it takes to win a 2K so I believe we can do it this weekend and grab the final Pool Play spot."

"As cliche as it sounds, wherever we are in the bracket I am confident we'll progress. We're just taking every series at a time, online and LAN."
He also expressed confidence in his new teammate GunShy, who despite his veteran status, had not competed professionally since 2015.
"Gunshy is great, hit the ground running and not looking like he's been out!"
The team knows the task they face to qualify for pool play, but if it is unmanageable, the veteran leadership of MarkyB and the experience of the team will need to come to the fore if they are to successfully break out of the open bracket. MarkyB will remember all too well his open bracket struggles during last year's Infinite Warfare season. His then Millenium line-up of Tom 'Moose' Handley, Nick 'Nolson' Nolson and Peatie, failed to make it out of open bracket at CWL Anaheim, ultimately placing 29-32nd. The 2018 CWL Dallas Open will take place December 8th - 10th at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. More information and details on upcoming events for the 2018 CWL Season can be found here. x
