Lower Bracket Round Two

Rise Nation: AquA, Faccento, FeLonY, Loony

 Allegiance: Spoof, Nova, Believe, Mayhem

Allegiance’s Call of Duty Championships run has come to an end following a loss to Rise Nation. In a do-or-die match for both teams, the variable Rise Nation were able to pull out a strong enough showing to see off the amateur squad. To begin with it was Allegiance with the hot hand, picking up an impressive 250-140 victory on Throwback Hardpoint to draw first blood in the series. Rise Nation responded emphatically, however, crushing Allegiance 6-0 on Breakout Search and Destroy to tie up the series. That victory swung momentum firmly back in Rise Nation’s favour, and they would ride it to the end of the series. Frost Uplink started well for the squad, another 6-0 on the board within the first half. Though Allegiance made an effort to come back in the second half, Rise were able to maintain a big enough lead, closing it out at 10-5.

Retaliation Hardpoint would host Allegiance’s final stand, but this time they were on the receiving end of a fairly convincing defeat. Rise were able to seal the deal at 250-167, taking a 3-1 series victory and eliminating Allegiance from the competition. Exiting at top-12 is nevertheless an impressive result for a squad that hasn’t competed in either season of the Global Pro League, nor features any players who have. Rise Nation, meanwhile, advance to round three of the lower bracket, where they await the winner of the Enigma6-Ghost Gaming match. - Rise Nation vs Allegiance: 3-1 Throwback HP: 140-250 Breakout SnD: 6-0 Frost Uplink: 10-5 Retaliation HP: 250-167 -
