The winner bracket round three matchup between eUnited and Team EnVyUs was an absolute monster of a game as the two heavyweight sides left it all on the table at the Amway Center.
The $1.5 million Call of Duty Championships 2017 started with thirty-two teams, but by the time this matchup took place on Saturday August 13th, there was only a handful of teams left in the tournament.
James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks and his eUnited team started the game strong with a Hardpoint map win but EnVyUs soon bounced back winning two maps in a row to make it 2-1 as they headed into the third map.
The start of Hardpoint Retaliation featured something rare as Clayster and EnVyUs player John ‘John’ Perez both picked up the sniper to start the round, facing each other across bridge.
John got the first shot off as he killed Preston ‘Prestinni’ Sanderson, but Clayster took him out, along with Jordan ‘Jkap’ Kaplan and Bryan ‘Apathy’ Zhelyazkov. The clip was uploaded to the MLG Twitter soon after.

Team EnVyUs eventually took the Hardpoint to drop eUnited to the loser bracket, where they were beaten by Luminosity Gaming to be eliminated in 5th/6th position.
The winner bracket final on Sunday August 13th will see nV face off against their age old rival OpTic Gaming for a spot in the grand final.
