Robin ‘flusha’ Rönnquist denied Team Liquid a match win at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals with some incredible blind shots through smoke.
Both teams came into the second day of competition at the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals with a chance of making it to the playoff stage.
By the end of the day, though, it was Fnatic claiming third place in the group while Team Liquid was eliminated in last place.
One of the reasons for this was Team Liquid's failure to close out a match against Fnatic on Mirage despite having a number of match points.
The North American team looked set to shut out the Swedes after a stellar start to the T side gave them a comfortable lead.
But flusha and co. were not willing to bow out so easily and began to mount a comeback.
Perhaps the most crucial rounds came when flusha denied two attempts from Team Liquid to plant the bomb on the A bombsite.
Team Liquid got off to a perfect start in the round and had a 5 vs. 3 situation with total control of A site.
Attempting to plant the bomb under cover of smoke, the North Americans fell victim to some classic flusha magic as the Swede landed two near-perfect sprays as they tried to plant.
Fnatic managed to close out the round and eventually brought the score back to 15-15, forcing an overtime situation.
The first overtime could not break the deadlock but on the second time of asking Fnatic seized the opportunity and closed out the win with a score of 22-18.
