Winner Bracket Round Two

FaZe Clan: ZooMaa, Attach, Enable, Gunless

 Infused: Zerg, Alexx, Nolson, Niall

FaZe Clan have sent Infused to the lower bracket of the Call of Duty Championships with a 3-0 win. After Allegiance’s earlier loss to eUnited, Infused were the last remaining team in the winner bracket that didn’t compete in the Global Pro League this year. They’d already pulled off an incredible upset against Rise Nation to make it this far, but unfortunately repeating the feat against FaZe would be too big an ask. The team didn’t go down without a fight, however. It was a decent showing to kick off the series, with Infused leading at points in Scorch Hardpoint, but ultimately FaZe would prove too strong and take the map 250-196. Retaliation Search and Destroy was a similar story. It was the game mode that saw Infused through to the bracket stages of the competition in the first place, but FaZe are a class above any of the teams they’d met thus far. Again, Infused’s best efforts weren’t quite enough, with FaZe taking it 6-4.

Rounding out the series would be Throwback Uplink, and this time FaZe demonstrated how big the gap between these two teams was supposed to be. Infused were unable to keep up with the North American squad on match point, and FaZe powered their way to a 13-0 victory and the series win. The win sets up another instalment in one of Call of Duty’s greatest rivalries – OpTic versus FaZe, to take place in the winner bracket finals of the Call of Duty Championships. Unfortunately for Infused, it’s unlikely things will get any easier in the lower bracket, where they’re not set to face Luminosity. - FaZe Clan vs Infused: 3-0 Scorch HP: 250-197 Retaliation SnD: 6-4 Throwback Uplink: 13-0 -
