eUnited Stood Strong Against a Surging Cryptik Roster

eUnited stood strong against a surging Team Cryptik squad in Pool Play at the Gears of War Pro Circuit Dallas Open. After starting out 2-0 in Pool D on Friday with wins against Vanquish and Team Blackout, it was expected that eUnited would come out strong against Team Cryptik, a squad from the Open Bracket. However, a slow start in their first map of the day on Saturday quickly saw eU go down to Cryptik 0-1, much to the surprise of the commentators and analysts. The next map saw a continued struggle from eUnited, who seemingly had difficulty taking advantage of key situations where they could have put certain rounds away. Yet, even going down 5-4 at one point, eUnited eventually flipped the switch against the European Cryptik lineup and forced a map 3. Escalation Reclaimed would be an onslaught for eUnited, using the momentum from the previous map to dominate Cryptik 7-2, allowing them to finish at the top of Pool D with a record of 3-0. Cryptik will now need to go up against an 0-2 Team Blackout squad for a chance to re-gain momentum within Pool D, and potentially make it to the Championship Bracket.
