ESL Sign Four Year Deal at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center

ESL have signed a four-year deal to host ESL One events in the Barclays Center, New York.

The Barclays Center played host to the first ESL One event on North American soil this past October, with a $250,000 CS:GO event having been the headline attraction. Following the success of the inaugural ESL One New York, ESL have reportedly signed a deal to return to the Barclays Center for the next four years.

The next ESL One to be held in the Barclays Center won’t be until September 16th-17th, 2017, however tickets will apparently go on sale via Ticketmaster on December 15th.

For Counter-Strike in particular, it’s another step in the growth of North American events. While not so long ago fans had to travel to Europe to witness the pinnacle of CS:GO first hand, since MLG hosted the first ever North American Major this year, the number of elite-tier events held across the pond has increased exponentially, with the likes of ELeague, ESL One and ECS all hosting events.

With the upcoming ELeague Major and ESL signed on for four years of ESL One events in New York, it seems North American CS:GO fans have plenty more to look forward to.
