Taking place in Cologne, Germany, ESL One was able to break records for attendance and overall engagements across multiple different platforms.
As one of the most notable Counter Strike: Global Offensive tournaments each year, ESL One Cologne was able to bring home records for viewer engagement, along with physical attendance numbers.
The tournament was held at the LANXESS Arena in Cologne, where top CS:GO teams were battling for the chance at a $250,000 prize pool, with Brazillian team SK Gaming winning first place over Cloud9 in the Grand Finals on July 9th.
Over 30 million unique social media users were able to produce 209 million impressions over the course of the event. Online viewership finished at 62 million sessions, with over 13 million hours of content consumed. SilverTV, a virtual reality broadcasting service, saw over 180,000 unique viewers tune in.
LANXESS area welcomed over 15,000 spectators each day of the event, which made ESL One Cologne 2017 the most attended installment since its origin in 2014.
When speaking on the success of Cologne, Ulrich Schulze, Vice President of Pro Gaming at ESL, details how proud he is of the production.

Later, touching on how future events will build on the legacy of ESL One Cologne.

Spectators were able to hear a live performance before the Grand Finals of the song Fly Away by TheFatRat, which was the official song of ESL One Cologne.
ESL One New York will be the next event in the ESL One set, taking place between September 16th and September 18th at the Barclays Center in New York City.
