There will be a Complexity Gaming team at CWL New Orleans after the organization announced the pickup of Ground Zero.
The $200,000 tournament takes place between January 12th and 14th at the Ernst Morial Convention Center, and is set to break the record for the number of teams attending with over 250 team passes sold.
Complexity Gaming has a rich history in the competitive Call of Duty space, including winning the 2014 Call of Duty World Championships with a roster that featured Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, Patrick ‘Aches’ Price, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Tyler ‘Teep’ Polchow.
That team went on to join Evil Geniuses, but their impact under Complexity will go down in history due to the way they did it, so much so that rapper Lupe Fiasco named them the greatest CoD team of all time.
Complexity returned for the first season of the CoD World League on Black Ops 3, but after barely a sniff of success, they were dropped following a 13th to 16th placement at CWL Las Vegas on Infinite Warfare.
It was announced on Thursday January 11th that the organization would be returning to CoD esports as they pickup Ground Zero ahead of CWL NOLA.
Chris ‘Parasite’ Duarte dons the Complexity jersey once again, teaming up alongside Jeremy ‘Studyy’ Astacio, Jared ‘Nagafen’ Harrel and Tyler ‘Felo’ Johnson. The team will be fighting out of Group D against Echo Fox, eUnited and Splyce as they attempt to qualify for the CWL Pro League.
The video was shot onsite at the Dallas Cowboys headquarters in Texas, known as The Star. Speculation had been rife that Ground Zero was joining Col after Parasite Tweeted a photo from the building following CWL Dallas.
