Esports organization Complexity Gaming have announced that Brandon "Dashy" Otell will be joining their Call of Duty roster going into the CWL National League.
Following the announcement that Jared "Nagafen" Harrell had left the organization on January 19th, rumors circulated that Dashy would be the teams first pick as a replacement, following his own free agency since the disbanding of Enigma6, his previous team.
Dashy, who only entered the professional scene towards the end of last year's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare season, quickly impressed with top assault rifle (AR) slaying performances while representing Str8 Rippin. For the Call of Duty: WWII season, he was recruited by Jordon "General" General for Enigma6.
The Enigma6 team struggled however, and after a top 12 placing at CWL Dallas in December 2017, a very public contract dispute between Dashy and the organziation surfaced, as he wanted to leave but was not released from his contract.
Following the team's top 16 placement at CWL New Orleans, they missed out on stage 1 of the CWL Pro League, and subsequently disbanded, leaving Dashy a free agent, and a top prospect thanks to his individual performances so far.
On January 20th, the day after Nagafen's free agent announcement, Complexity announced they had recruited Dashy, to play alongside captain Chris "Parasite" Duarte, Tyler "FeLonY" Johnson and Jeremy "StuDyy" Astacio.
As Complexity also missed out on Stage 1 of the CWL Pro League due to a disappointing top 20 placing at CWL New Orleans, they will now play through the CWL National Circuit, which begins on January 26th 2018.
The winning team will be awarded travel and accommodation the 2018 CWL Atlanta Open, as well as 3,000 pro points per player and $1,000. The top four teams will also secure a spot in Stage 2 of the national circuit, of which there are four in total over the season.
