CoD Pro Players and Big Names React to Black Ops 4 Announcement

The announcement of Black Ops 4 as the next title in the Call of Duty series has launched a storm through the CoD community. Earlier on March 8th, Activision and Treyarch launched the marketing campaign for Black Ops 4 with an extravagant combination of pictures, social media posts, a press release, and a teaser video. Rumors of Black Ops 4 being the next title have been swirling around for weeks and now that they are confirmed, the community has reacted very positively. It is common thinking that Black Ops 3 was the last title that had the series at its most exciting peak and now, after two years and three new titles later, many are looking for Treyarch to rebuild the hype around Call of Duty. As expected, many professional players and prominent names in the community took to Twitter to express their reaction to the news. x FaZe Clan's Dillon 'Attach' Price was quick to express his anticipation. x UNILAD professional Matthew 'Skrapz' Marshall demonstrated his excitement in a slightly different way. x Austin 'Slasher' Liddicoat of Team EnVy let a GIF do the talking. x Gone Gaming's Colt 'Havok' McLendon was excited but also wary of the fact that similar hype around the current WWII title led to disappointment. x Others like 100 Thieves owner Matt 'Nadeshot' Haag and eUnited CoD pro James 'Clayster' Eubanks were very surprised and excited about the earlier launch of BO4 compared to previous titles. x x Seth 'Scump' Abner, captain of the reigning World Champions OpTic Gaming, created a little controversy by expressing his desire for the return of jetpacks to Call of Duty. x Popular CoD YouTuber Trevor 'TmarTn' Martin was very specific as to what he wanted in the new game. x Doug 'Censor' Martin's desires were regarding aesthetics more than anything. x Of course when anything related to the Black Ops series is mentioned, talk of Jack 'Courage' Dunlop's famous 0-15 meme from BO3 resurfaces. x A former World Champion and now with FaZe, James 'Replays' Crowder added his own fuel to the 0-15 fire. x It's clear that the annual hype train for a new Call of Duty title has left the station and is in full speed. With a detailed reveal planned for May 17th and the game set to launch on October 12th, continuous talk and discussion about Black Ops 4 can be expected throughout the year. x
