The Cloud9 CS:GO Players Are Seriously Impressed With ESL

Cloud9's Jake 'Stewie2k' Yip has shared a short video highlighting the impressive facilities provided by ESL for the IEM Oakland CS:GO tournament. The $300,000 event promises to provide one of the most exciting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitions of 2017. IEM Oakland will feature two groups of 6 teams with the top 3 from each advancing to the single-elimination playoff bracket. Cloud9 has been drawn in Group A alongside SK Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis, Team EnVyUs, and The MongolZ. The Group Stage will be held in Burbank, California, with only the 6 playoff teams making the trip to The Oracle Arena in Oakland. However, ESL has clearly spared no expenses with the Burbank setup, as Stewie showed in this Twitter post.     The practice rooms provided for each team will presumably also be used for their group stage matches - allowing players to feel right at home as they play through the round-robin format. There is also space provided for coaches so Cloud9's coach Soham 'valens' Chowdhury will be able to do his job properly. As long as the computers provided are up to scratch it looks like ESL has knocked it out of the park with their IEM Oakland preparation. Cloud9's first match of the tournament will be against The MongolZ followed by NiP. You can watch the event here. -
