Popular beer company Bud Light has announced a ‘Beat the Pro’ challenge where fans and competitors have a chance to face off against OpTic Gaming’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and other professional esports players.
As the esports industry continues to expand on a daily basis, a variety of companies and organizations have taken the opportunity to get involved.
Underneath the Anheuser-Busch production company, Bud Light has become one of the most recognizable alcoholic beverage brands within the United States, partnering with major corporations such as the National Football League.
It was announced that Bud Light Esports would be holding a challenge where fans that are of the legal drinking age within the United States and Canada could compete on a 2v2, Call of Duty: Ghosts ladder on PlayStation 4, with a variety of prizes available.
The winner would play in a streamed match against Scump, a 2017 CoD Champion with OpTic Gaming, and widely regarded as one of the top professional players of all time since the beginning of his career.
Matches run over the course of five days on Battlefy, between 8:00 PM EST and 11:00 PM EST from Thursday, September 14th to Monday, September 18th, with the top 16 teams being placed into a single-elimination bracket.
