100Thieves Announce New League of Legends Academy Team

100Thieves are the latest team to announce their academy team ahead of the first season of the NA LCS Academy League. The new season of the NA LCS will be the first in which we'll see franchised teams. No longer will teams battle for relegation, but instead we'll see the same powerhouses competing year in, year out. With the new change, also came a host of new changes, including a number of new teams entering the fold. One such team is 100Thieves, who have returned to esports in a big way after their initial launch over 12 months ago. The new league will follow a similar format to the NBA, where the major league teams each have an affiliate that competes in a minor league to help develop players for the major competition. Only 10 days after announcing their major line up, 100Thieves have now confirmed their new Academy roster. The team will consist of Kaizen, Levi, Linsanity, Rikara, and Whyin. The announcement was made via the 100Thieves official Twitter account. Only 10 days ago, 100Thieves announced their major roster for the 2018 NA LCS season. 100Thieves are the sixth NA LCS outfit to announce their Academy team.
