The first gameplay of the new League of Legends support champion, Yuumi: The Magical Cat has been released.
There are currently 143 champions in League of Legends after the addition of Sylas back in January 2019, however with the upcoming addition of Yuumi The Magical Cat might be one of the most unique champions yet.
Although the champion will be available to those with Public Beta Environment accounts on April 30, Yuumi’s official live server release date has been scheduled for May 14 and is due to be released along with patch 9.10.
Many players are looking forward to trying the new champion out, as Yuumi’s kit features abilities such as attaching to another champion and shielding them which hasn't been seen in League of Legends to this extent so far.
The gameplay of Yuumi was posted online by Challenge Esports, and it gives us a good idea just how Yuumi’s new ability kit could fare in the laning phase and in teamfights vs some of the long-standing League of Legends champions.
Game starts at 0:40 for mobile users.
Many fans are comparing the support champion to Sona, claiming the pair play similarly as she provides similar poke damage as well as healing for her teammates, however, they do differ greatly when it comes to movement speed and other aspects of combat.
Fans will have to wait and see just where Yuumi will rank when comparing to some of the other champions in League of Legends.
It is also likely that Riot Games will make more adjustments to Yuumi after the official release, in order to balance the champion correctly as they have done in the past for previous champion releases.
