New League of Legends champion Seraphine, who is currently being teased on Twitter and Soundcloud, is set to join Riot’s mega-popular K-pop group K/DA following her Worlds 2020 release date, recent Season 10 leaks have confirmed.

Riot Games seems to have multiple League of Legends plates spinning in the air at the same time right now. On the champion front, they have two new releases on the horizon — Samira and Seraphine — ahead of the 2020 World Championship.

On the K/DA front, Riot’s music team is busy building hype for the K-pop quartet’s follow-up single, “The Baddest”. As it turns out, these two big League teasers may actually be related, according to a new leaked K/DA promo image.

Seraphine set to become fifth K/DA star

The image shows all four of the original K/DA members in dark blue and purple outfits. Fans have been quick to point out these are different to the group’s recently teased “The Baddest” costumes, meaning it will be for a third K/DA track.

The most interesting part though, is the fifth member; teased LoL champion Seraphine also appears in the image. She’s sporting blue hair here, and has donned a diamond dress similar to Ahri’s outfit in the “POP/STARS” music video.

The image is a little blurry, and has no defining features on it beyond the five group members and the standard K/DA logo. It does look a lot like the usual Riot Games promo images though.

The Seraphine account, which is still keeping up the act of being an “aspiring songwriter” on Twitter, replied soon after. She acknowledged the photo, but didn’t confirm its legitimacy: “Is that supposed to be me?? Wow!” the account responded.

Seraphine has also been dropping K/DA hints over the past few days too. On August 24, the account shared an image of the upcoming LoL champ holding a board with K/DA song lyrics on them. The board reads, “Can you feel the rush now?”

Seraphine covers K/DA’s ‘POP/STARS’

The character also released a cover of K/DA’s 2018 single “POP/STARS” on Soundcloud just a few days before that. The track, hosted on @seradotwav, is a far more mellow version of the iconic LoL song the K-pop dropped two years ago.

These LoL hints — and the leaked promo image — basically confirm K/DA’s original quartet will grow into five in 2020. All that’s left is for Riot Games to officially confirm Seraphine will join the K/DA roster ahead of Worlds 2020.

There’s also the question of who will voice the “musical mage” in her K/DA appearances. The original four popstars are voiced by Madison Beer (Evelynn), Jaira Burns (Kai’Sa) and (G)I-dle duo Miyeon (Ahri) and Soyeon (Akali). Seraphine’s vocalist has not yet been confirmed.

K/DA will release their next single “The Baddest” on Thursday, August 27 at 12pm PT. It’s unlikely Seraphine will be involved in that August release date, but expect her soon. Riot inked a six-song deal with Universal, meaning there’s plenty more on the way.

League of Legends is about to crown a new king, and his name is Viego. After months of teasers, the Ruined King is being added as the MOBA’s 154th champion. Here’s everything we know about Viego, including his abilities and release date.

It’s been a long time coming, but the Ruined King has finally arrived in League of Legends. In anticipation of the standalone Ruined King title, the man himself, Viego, is set to arrive in Runeterra shortly.

Riot’s Season 2021 live stream revealed a host of new details about Viego alongside an incredible cinematic. Without further ado, here’s what we know of Viego, the Ruined King, so far.

Who is Viego in League of Legends?

Viego is joining the League of Legends roster as the MOBA’s 154th champion. The champion’s addition isn’t anything new, with Riot alluding to the Ruined King as early as September 2020 in their champion roadmaps.

Viego is described as a jungle-skirmisher, and a champion “you may just find yourself falling for…twisting hearts and possessing minds.”

Riot revealed an absolutely incredible new cinematic for the Viego in the Season 2021 Opening Day Livestream.

It includes appearances from Senna, Lucian, Darius, and countless other League champions. It’s fair to say they’ve captured his dark and ghost-like theme perfectly.

Viego’s abilities

Passive – Sovereign’s Domination

“Viego can temporarily possess enemy champions he helps kill, healing for a portion of their max health. During possession, Viego’s items, attacks, and non-ultimate abilities become those of his slain enemy’s, and he gains a free cast of his own ultimate.”

Q – Blade of the Ruined King

Passive: “Viego’s attacks deal a percent of the target’s current health as bonus damage on-hit. When Viego attacks an enemy he recently hit with an ability, the attacks strikes twice. The second strike siphons health from the target instead of deal extra damage, but still applies on-hit effects and can critically strike. This passive is maintained during possession.”

Active: “Viego stabs forward with his blade, damaging all enemies hit.”

W – Spectral Maw

“Viego charges up and then dashes forward, hurling a blast of mist that stuns and damages the first enemy hit. Stun duration and mist range increase with charge time, damage and dash range don’t.”

E – Harrowed Path

“Viego spreads a wave of Black Mist around a nearby wall. While in the mist, Viego becomes Camouflaged and gains Attack Speed and Movement Speed.”

R – Heartbreaker

“Viego discards any bodies he is currently possessing and teleports forward, attacking the enemy champion in range with the lowest percent health and dealing bonus damage based on their missing health. Other enemies in range are knocked away.”

Riot Games
Viego is set to release near the end of January.

Viego release date in League of Legends

Viego is set to arrive shortly. The champion is expected to drop on League patch 11.2, which launches on January 21, 2021. Viego should launch on the patch day, or a few days after.

It’s worth noting that Riot has revealed the next three champions introduced to League in 2021 will all tie into the return of Viego, the Ruined King. It’s difficult to predict who these champions are at this point, but no doubt Riot will release some teasers in the upcoming months.

Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how Viego shapes up in the current meta and if he’s capable of becoming a top tier jungler.
