League of Legends titans G2 Esports’ have hinted at another role swap in their latest Twitter video, just a year after making major role changes in 2018.

G2 took League of Legends by storm in 2019, securing wins in both domestic leagues, a victory at the Mid-Season Invitational, and a second-place at the World Championships.

It was undoubtedly the best year yet for the European squad and many expected them to build on what they had going into 2020. However, the team seems to be hinting at another crazy role swap.

Riot GamesG2 had their best LoL year yet in 2019.

The team shocked fans in late 2018 when they brought in mid-laner Rasmus ‘Caps’ Winther, with their mid player, Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković, switching to the ad-carry position.

Unexpected as it was, the move worked wonders, with Caps thriving under the G2 banner, while Perkz settled into a new lane incredibly well. The Croatian was even able to bring back some of his mid-lane Champions as the meta evolved to include Mages in the game’s duo lane.

However, things may be changing once again, as the team shared an interesting video on Twitter, hinting at another role swap between the two players.

The players were catching up and about to play a duo queue game when they noticed what roles the other had picked. “Wait you want to go bottom?” asked Perkz. “Wait and you want to go mid lane?” replied Caps.

Both players then agreed that they could perform in the other’s lane, and agreed to switch right after letting out a cheeky “are we really gonna do this?” and “what’s the worst that could happen?”

This could just be one of G2’s famous social media jokes, or it could be a silly way to introduce a massive change to the team – it’s always difficult to tell them. Although, with the way their LoL roster played in 2019, anything could happen.
