Genshin Impact fans rejoice as developer MiHoYo all but confirms the Anemo DPS powerhouse Kazuha returns in the 2.8 update banner.
With Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 content slowly coming to a close players are eagerly awaiting what’s next.
Developer HoYoVerse has slowly released information about what fans can expect with the 2.8 update, including the Heizou banner and the return of the Golden Apple Archipelago.
Now, fans have an idea of two characters returning on upcoming banners, including the fan-favorite Anemo DPS swordsman Kazuha.
Kazuha returns in Genshin Impact 2.8 patch
The reveal comes by way of the official Genshin Impact Twitter account, which tweeted out artwork related to the Version 2.8 preview livestream.
Though the tweet is a simple image detailing the start date and time for the livestream, being July 2 at 8 am UTC, the characters on it spell out the bigger picture.
Alongside male Aether, chibi renditions of both Fischl and Kazuha are on the artwork, highly suggesting the two will return as part of a banner in Version 2.8.
Fans of Kazuha were over the moon after the reveal, as the swordsman quickly made a name for himself as one of the, if not the best, DPS characters in Genshin Impact.
In fact, Kazuha is still the highest-picked character in Version 2.7, despite not appearing in many banners since his release in June of 2021.
For those unfamiliar with Genshin Impact’s story, Kazuha is a character from the Inazuma region, though players were able to summon him before the Inazuma story arc even began.
Kazuha is one of the most sought-after characters in the game thanks to his Yamaarashi Tailwind ability, which increases Elemental Mastery by 200 for himself and his allies.
Though it’s still unclear whether Kazuha will return during the first or second wave of banners, fans should start saving up to Wish on Kazuha’s banner whenever he reappears in Version 2.8.
