Reigning Champions Ghost Gaming Fall in First Pool Play Match of Gears NOLA

Ghost Gaming got off to a rough start during their Gears Pro Circuit New Orleans Open campaign after a tough loss to the new Fable EU squad.

After showing their power at the Gears Pro Circuit Vegas Open back in early April where they took down the former Fable EU roster in the Grand Final, Ghost Gaming appeared to be one of the top teams in the game.

However, after deciding to replace Jourdan ‘Ribs’ Ribeiro with Kaid ‘GODPLAYS’ Saleh, Ghost Gaming got a player with a much different playstyle than the other, which raised questions regarding how the new roster would shake out.

They ended up getting placed into Group B for Gears NOLA, which is a Pool that many believe is one of the most difficult in terms of raw talent between the three original teams that were drawn.

Ghost matched up against Fable EU, now a French roster since they were represented by the current ‘EUsFinest’ squad, it was expected that the reigning Champions would be able to take the match with ease.

Yet, led by veteran Jack ‘Reaxion’ Oliver who may be on one of the best rosters for him in recent memory, Fabe EU managed to 2-0 Ghost Gaming with ease, and go up 1-0 in Group B after a huge win.

Although it is certainly not time to hit the panic button yet, Ghost Gaming will look to regain after the loss, and continue their run to hopefully make the Championship Bracket.
