Professional players are set to go head-to-head in the first ever competitive Gears 5 event at the ELEAGUE Invitational on July 13-14, as fans get their first glimpse at the upcoming game, played by the very best.

Gears 5 is set to release on September 19, after which the Gears Pro Circuit will be back in full swing, but ahead of release pro players will be showing off some competitive action.

Eight of the very best teams in the world, including the former OpTic Gaming roster, now playing under TOX, which is heralded as one of the most dominant teams in all of esports, will be in attendance for the two-day tournament, playing for the $80,000 first place prize.

Where to watch Gears 5 ELEAGUE Invitational

There won’t be any general admission to the tournament, but of course you can catch all the action on Twitch.

Matches begin at 12PM ET (9AM PT / 5PM BST) on July 13. We’ve got the Twitch stream below for your convenience.

Format

The eight teams will go straight into a single-elimination, best of three bracket, starting at the quarter-final stage.

The opening bracket is now available, with Ghost vs Glory, Rise vs Reciprocity, TOX vs Simplicity and Mazer vs EU’s finest the first round matches.
