The sequel to The Division, which released back in 2016, is set seven months after the first game, although players will find themselves in Washington D.C. instead of New York City.

Players will team up in the middle of a civil war that is raging between survivors and villainous bands of marauders. Players will face off against three mercenary groups, known as the True Sons, the Hyenas and the Outcasts, as they dive into a 1:1 recreation of the nation’s capital.

When does The Division 2 release?

The Division 2 officially releases on Friday, March 15, 2019, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox On and PC.

Players who purchase the Gold or Ultimate edition of the game will be able to play the game three days early on March 12.

Can I buy the game on Steam?

Players who want to play The Division 2 on their PC will not be able to purchase the game from Steam. Ubisoft have teamed up with Fortnite developer Epic Games to release the game via their Epic Games Store, while Ubisoft will also sell the game through their own Uplay service.

While there is a chance that we could see The Division 2 on Steam eventually, it seems unlikely to be in the near future, with a representative from Ubisoft telling Polygon that they “have no plans currently on releasing The Division 2 on Steam.”

The Division 2 will not be available on Steam.

Are there any trailers for the game?

In anticipation of the upcoming release of The Division 2, Ubisoft released a brand-new launch trailer that touches on some of the major story points that players can look forward to once the game releases.

Are there any post-launch plans?

While the game comes chock full of content for players to sink their teeth into, Ubisoft has detailed the Year 1 roadmap that will feature three new Episodes along with new Specializations and new modes.

The best part of all is that all the post-launch content will be free for every player. There will be a Season Pass, but that will simply unlock the content seven days before everyone else.
