Sylveon to debut in Pokemon Unite soon: release date, leaked moves, skins, more

Popular Fairy-type, Sylveon, is coming to Pokemon Unite in the near future. Here is everything we know about the Eeveelution in the TiMi Studios MOBA.

Ever since its introduction in Gen VI, Sylveon has been a fan-favorite Eevee evolution, largely thanks to its cute design. And it is now coming to Pokemon Unite.

It was revealed in the August 18 Pokemon Direct after dataminers discovered code for it in update files. Here’s what we know so far.

Sylveon confirmed for Pokemon Unite

On August 18, fans were treated to a Pokemon Presents Nintendo Direct. Not only did it show upcoming mainline titles Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Legends Arceus, but Unite news was also dropped.

Sylveon was confirmed for the MOBA, alongside Mamoswine. The trailer didn’t go into detail though outside of just verifying it’s coming at some point, and no release date or window was given.

Sylveon’s moves in Pokemon Unite

Dataminers have unearthed code for Sylveon’s moves in Pokemon Unite, revealing exactly what the popular Eeveelution will do in-game.

Swift

• Level 1-2
  • Throws star-shaped energy that deals damage.

Baby-Doll Eyes

• Level 1-2
  • Cast a charming gaze at an opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to it and temporarily reducing its Attack & Speed.

Mystical Fire

• Level 4
  • Jump in the selected direction creating four (4) flames that flies toward enemies one at a time dealing damage & temporarily reducing their Special Attack.
  • Each time they hits, Cooldown is reduced.
• Level 10
  • Five (5) flames.

Hyper Voice

• Level 4
  • Attacks emitting various sonic waves that deals more damage the further away the opponent is.
  • Each time a sonic wave hits, the next one will deal bonus damage.
• Level 10
  • It emits an additional sonic voice.

Draining Kiss

• Level 6
  • Throws a Kiss that floats several times between User & Target.
  • Depending on who touches it, it will deal damage to Enemies or Cures Health of user (Sylveon).
  • Kiss will disappear if too far away
• Level 12
  • Restore more health.

Calm Mind

• Level 6
  • Temporarily increases Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed.
• Level 12
  • Completely nullifies damage from an opposing Attack, also you gain an extra Shield afterward.

U-Move: Fairy Charm

• Level 8
  • Jumps becoming invincible for few instances.
  • On landing, it deals damage on all the enemies in the ranged specified area & recover some health.
  • Afterward, it will turn all the damage inflicted into % extra health.

Pokemon leaker LordLax also tweeted about the Fairy-type’s moves in June, before the game was even released, alongside a photo of the code strings.

Leaked Sylveon gameplay

On top of the above Sylveon move leaks, several Pokemon United insiders have also got their hands on early gameplay footage.

The footage, posted by ElChicoEevee on YouTube, reveals Sylveon starts as Eevee at the start of Unite matches, before evolving into Sylveon at Level 4. The Fairy-type Pokemon is then given access to an arsenal of support moves and damaging abilities.

This includes its “Fairy Charm” ultimate, which is an area-of-effect move, and several other Sylveon-themed abilities, both fire and healing-based.

Pokemon Unite Sylveon release date

Sylveon will be released on October 5 at 2:00 PM EST, 5:00 PM PST, and 7:00 PM BST.
