State of Decay 3 is the latest survival-horror title from the hard-working people at Undead Labs. Whilst the team continues to support previous entries in the series, here’s everything we know about State of Decay 3, as well as its trailer.

There’s a lot of love for the State of Decay games as they typically feature a ton of unruly, hostile zombies, but rather untypically discourage combat against them. Whilst you can engage them, it’s easy to become overwhelmed, and the player should instead focus their efforts on fortifying their position, recruiting survivors, and strengthening their foundation.

This formula has resulted in two successful Zombie games, as well as State of Decay 3 which is on the way. Since its Xbox reveal in 2020, we haven’t heard much noise regarding State of Decay 3, but the team is most definitely hard at work on the game.

Does State of Decay 3 have a release date yet?

There is no release date for State of Decay 3 just yet with the game still very much in its development phase and Undead Labs seemingly unwilling to announce a date right now.

State of Decay came out in 2013 with the sequel turning up five years later in 2018. If a five-year cycle is to happen again then we’d figure some more information may be due soon. However, given the circumstances of the last couple of years, we’d expect it to release closer to 2024, maybe a bit later.

State of Decay 3 trailer

Undead Labs have, so far, only shown off the game’s reveal trailer back in 2020 which whet the appetite of the franchise’s loyal fans. Not only did it establish more of the same moody, tense atmosphere that the previous entries were known for, but we also know that Zombie animals will enter the fray.

State of Decay 3 platforms

Like previous games, State of Decay 3 will not be getting a release on all major platforms, and it appears as if the formats that have made the cut are the Xbox Series X|S, possibly the Xbox One, the Epic Games Store, and Steam.

The notable absentee is obviously Sony’s PlayStation brand, along with the Nintendo Switch.

We know a lot of information about plenty of other games coming out, so here’s a selection of games to check up on:

The Elder Scrolls 6  | GTA 6 | Overwatch 2 |  Assassin’s Creed Infinity | God of War: Ragnarok | Wolverine | Spider-Man 2 | Forspoken | KOTR Remake | Wonder Woman | DokeV | Avatar Frontiers of Pandora | Sonic Frontiers | Dragon Age 4 | Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild sequel | The Witcher 3 next-gen patch  | Avatar Frontiers of Pandora | Haunted Chocolatier
