TSM wins UMG X First Strike NA Valorant tournament: Final results

With the best of the best North American Valorant teams facing off for the title of First Strike: North America Champion, the UMG Tournament was one for the ages and we’ve got you covered with a complete recap of all the action.

As the dust settles on the UMG qualifiers, the most exciting leg of the North American First Strike tournament just took place: the UMG Tournament.

With teams such as TSM, T1, Cloud9 Blue, and Complexity Gaming just a few of the big hitters duking it out, the competition was intense from start to finish.

On the line were four coveted spots in the main First Strike event, where the four newcomers will represent North America alongside Team Envy, 100 Thieves, Renegades, and Sentinels.

The four groups in the UMG tournament were all stacked to the brim with elite lineups. However, only two from each could advance through to bracket play where all but one quarterfinal matchup was lopsided.

Gen.G and FaZe were the only teams that saw a third map in the playoffs, as T1, TSM, and Immortals all cruised through their opponents 2-0.

Ultimately, it all came down to a final matchup between FaZe and TSM. While the TSM roster took an early lead, closing out Haven and Bind 13-9, FaZe fought back, winning Split 13-6. The series came to an end on Ascent shortly after. TSM dominated the Defending half, eventually sealing the deal with a 13-3 win.

UMG X Valorant First Strike Tournament: results

The four day event featured some huge matchups every step of the way. From the initial group stage showdowns to the final series between FaZe and TSM, NA’s best were giving it their all from start to finish.
