Disney and Pixar have teamed up with mobile devs Kabam for a brand new action RPG game called Disney Mirrorverse, and it’s available to download for free right now.

The new team-based action, role-playing game tasks players with forming a team of three powerful ‘Guardians’ using a roster of some of the most recognizable characters from Disney and Pixar movies.

Characters available to play include Sulley (Monsters Inc.), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story), and Ariel (Little Mermaid), with more planned to arrive in the future with monthly updates.

Each character will have their own unique special abilities and attacks that will help you defend the Mirrorverse – a divergent Disney universe – from the malevolent force known as the Fractured.

“Our friends at Disney and Pixar have been incredible to work with as we have created this new, divergent universe for Disney Pixar fans and mobile gamers to immerse in,” said Seungwon Lee, Chief Executive Officer at Kabam.

“Our Kabam product development has carefully put a great deal of time and energy into building a beautiful, deep, highly engaging mobile RPG game unlike anything fans have experienced before. We are all so excited to share Disney Mirrorverse with the world today.”

The game’s main feature is the Story Mode, which includes multiple chapters with a boss fight at the end of each one. Working through this mode will unlock new Guardians and materials to upgrade existing ones.

Running alongside this are daily Supply Runs to stock up on materials; the Tower of Talents, which are limited-time events focusing on Guardian Traits; and the competitive, randomized Dangerous Dungeons.

Kabam – who also created Marvel Contest of Champions – have promised that two new Guardians will be added to the lineup every month, with new game modes and other content also on the way in the future.

Disney Mirrorverse is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play right now.
