Cosplayer Stella Chuu summons spirits as Final Fantasy X’s Yuna

Final Fantasy X originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2001. The groundbreaking title moved the beloved franchise in a new direction, mixing deep RPG mechanics with a cinematic narrative.
Renowned cosplayer Stella Chuu took fans’ breath away with her insanely accurate costume of one of the game’s leading characters Yuna. Her faithful depiction of the Summoner is one of the best we’ve ever seen.

Final Fantasy X’s Yuna brought to life
The game opens with protagonist Tidus being whisked away from his homeland of Zanarkand. He then wakes up in the world of Spira, where he meets the summoner Yuna.
Stella Chuu showed off her true-to-life costume that she made for Final Fantasy Fest in Las Vegas. She looks just like the character, capturing her signature green and blue eyes and short brown hair.
The artist teamed up with photographers ‘tiffanyh.productions‘ and ‘makeyourownfun‘ and posed with the heroine’s Summoning Staff. She looks so much like the character, it has us seeing double.

In another photo, Stella runs across the ocean shore of a gorgeous beach in Thailand. The jaw dropping shot re-creates a scene directly from the game where Yuna has to send the souls of the dead to the Farplane.
The cosplay artist shared more pictures of her outfit on social media, and teamed up with ‘Dphotog’ to bring another scene from the title to life. In the plot, Yuna and Tidus have a budding romance which she re-creates with this stunning pose.
Final Fantasy fans were completely taken with her faithful portrayal of Yuna. User ‘bdsxlowercase’ exclaimed, “Your Yuna is potentially my all time favorite cosplay.” Another user ‘finalfantaseaofdreams’ was blown away, stating, “I literally, audibly gasped. This is a breathtaking and fantastic photo.”

Despite releasing over eighteen years ago, Final Fantasy X’s popularity has continued to grow. Many fans of the franchise consider it a classic, and it’s popular in the cosplay scene.
Those looking to relive the pivotal game are in luck because in 2015, Square released an HD remaster on the PlayStation 4, Xbox, and PC. It’s also available on the Nintendo Switch for your portable needs.
