FaZe Clan’s Avery ‘Avxry’ Lopriore has shown a what traditional build fight in Fortnite would look like if it was in first person view.

Fortnite Battle Royale is played exclusively in third person, however in the Save the World mode, you have the option to activate first person.

While in this view, you cannot see your weapon, but you can build, exactly like how you would build in the battle royale mode.

Avxry, a content creator for FaZe Clan, best known as a Fortnite streamer and YouTuber, has used this first person option in Save the World to simulate what a traditional build fight might look like.

The biggest advantage of third-person is of course the extra periphal vision, granting the ability to see over walls and around corners without exposing your character.

As for building, a fundamental component of Fortnite, first person certainly looks like it would be more difficult with the restricted field of view.

Although first person certainly looks playable, if it was implemented it would certainly have to be implemented in a similar way to PUBG, with a separate playlist, as third person is clearly superior in regard to building and awareness.

Another YouTuber, Max Box, created a full video of what Fortnite Battle Royale would look like in first person, including weapons, shooting, looting and building.

Epic Games has never made any mention of the potential for first person in battle royale, but that doesn’t mean they are not considering it. The fact that it is already programmed in the game for Save the World is a boost too.

One possibility could be a Limited Time Mode (LTM) with first person enabled. Epic has used LTM’s in the past to test out various features, such as faster closing storms or weapon/equipment restrictions.
