Blevins was preparing to take part in an interview with ESPN correspondent Jack Collinsworth when the former Oklahoma Sooner called Ninja, and hopped into a game with the popular streamer and the reporter.

The trio ran into some problems throughout the game, as Ninja got knocked with only six enemies remaining. However, thanks to a “clutch” revival from Collinsworth, Blevins was able to secure the win in hilarious fashion, accidentally bludgeoning an opponent to death with a pickaxe while attempting to destroy a wall.

Ninja is no stranger to playing with high profile celebrities such as Mayfield. In May, he teamed up with Tottenham Hotspurs soccer stars Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier. He also played with the rapper Drake, an experience which the American describes as “the coolest moment” of his life.

During the ESPN interview, Ninja spoke briefly about the massive success he has seen on his social media channels this year. The 27-year-old spoke candidly about the growth of his YouTube channel, saying; “I was averaging like, three to four million subscribers a month, which is just ridiculous”. Blevins has since amassed over 17 million subscribers on his channel, and his Twitch streams have been watched over 300 million times.

Blevins was being interviewed by the American sports network in the build up to ‘Ninja Night’, a special fan event taking place at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Ninja is a fan of the Detroit Lions, and was in attendance at their season opener against the New York Jets, hosting a meet-and-greet for fans in attendance.

Unfortunately for Ninja, his beloved Lions were unable to pull off a victory, as they fell to a heavy 48-17 defeat.
