Community members have expressed their desire for the chance to put skins on their weapons in Fortnite: Battle Royale ever since the game's release in 2017.
While Epic Games continues to add new items, weapons, locations, and other content to Fortnite, the developer has remained quiet on the potential for weapon skins being introduced in the future.
With this in mind, Reddit user /u/DocyodaX created a simple, yet effective concept of how players would obtain skins in Fortnite for their weapons, and eventually apply them.
After acquiring a skin, a player would then choose a weapon category and then pick which specific gun they want the skin to be on.
The full concept can be viewed below.
Although it is still unknown if Epic Games plans to entertain any chance of weapon skins being added to Fortnite, the prospect of such a feature could possibly generate a large revenue stream much like outfits, emotes, and other DLC.
We will continue to provide updates on weapon skins in Fortnite: Battle Royale if Epic Games announces any new information.
