Professional Fortnite player Tyler ‘Tfue’ Tenney has found a clever way to use the Fortnite cube to his advantage.

Tfue was streaming solo matches when he came up with an idea to try and use the Fortnite cube as a way to boost jump him into the air.

The FaZe Clan member landed on the newly formed floating island above the map, and built his way down the south side of the island using stairs.

By building down, Tfue was able to find the only spot that players can fire at the cube from an elevated angle above it. Shooting the cube causes it to fire a lightning strike at you, dealing damage and pushing you away from it.

Tfue fired off a few shots at the cube, then dropped off the stairs that he had built. Just as he began to drop, the Cube punished Tfue for his actions, firing a bolt of lightning at the streamer.

While for some getting damaged by the cube would be annoying, Tfue was happy to take a shot from the giant purple object. The force of the strike from the cube sent Tfue flying into the air, and by pulling his umbrella out, Tenney was able to fly high over Tilted Towers and head towards Salty Springs.

It will be interesting to see if Tfue decides to employ this tactic when he takes part in the second week of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, starting on Friday, September 28.
