Tfue claps back at Ninja over Fortnite’s “broken” harpoons

Connor Bennett

Streaming star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney hit back at Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ claim that the harpoons in Fortnite weren’t actually glitched, by showing off a video of how bad they’d become.

Before either of them became huge stars thanks to Fortnite, Tfue and Ninja took each other on in other titles like H1Z1, but it was the uber-popular Epic Games title that really made them butt heads.

They’ve clashed on a number of occasions, both in and out of the game, with each of them trying to get one over on the other. With the new V12.20 update for Fortnite being released, the harpoon guns that many players use for looting have started acting a little strange – giving the pair even more ammunition to argue over.

Tfue and Ninja were quite good friends once upon a time.

After FaZe Thiefs asked if Epic could drop a fix for the harpoons, Ninja quickly jumped to the defense of the developers, claiming that what players were experiencing wasn’t a “glitch” and that a change had been made.

However, Tfue responded, tweeting a screenshot of Ninja’s tweet with the caption: ”Nah it’s definitely broken homie,” as well as a 90-second long video showcasing the problem.

Any time the Twitch star attempted to quickly fish in the water, his harpoon wouldn’t even make a splash – preventing him from picking up any fish or loot that lay under the waves. “This game f**king sucks,” he called out after getting frustrated with what was happening. “I f**king hate this game dude.”

With Epic Games no longer dropping patch notes for their updates, and fans having to rely on their official Trello board for bug fixes, it is impossible for players to know when something is an intentional change or a mistake.

Whether or not Epic Games will say something about the problem remains to be seen, but, we’ll also have to wait and see if Ninja fires back a response at Tfue’s tweet.
