North American esports organization The Rise Nation have revealed their newest Fortnite professional player.
Former Call of Duty pro player Jamal 'Whea7s' Lee will join as the first official member of the org's pro Fortnite roster for the upcoming competitive season.
The roster move was announced on July 2nd via a post on Rise's Twitter page.
Whea7s also commented about the move, tweeting out "I'm back baby" on his own Twitter page.
According to the announcement, Whea7s enters the competitive Fortnite scene as a solo player, and will likely focus his gameplay for potential solo competitive events.
It remains unclear whether Rise Nation will pursue any more players to add to their roster, and if their new addition will serve any other roles in the future.
Rise Nation and competitive Call of Duty fans alike will be very familiar with Whea7s, considering he played CoD professionally for the org in 2014 and 2015.
In addition to his two different stints with Rise, the now retired pro played for 17 other organizations, including the likes of Team SoloMid and eUnited, in a career that spanned from 2013 to February of 2018.
